We offer a range of grooming services for both dogs and cats from the basic necessities to lavish spa treatments. Services such as bathing, hand drying, de-shedding, personalized haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, medicated shampoos, soothing oatmeal masks, and more. We even offer pet-safe creative options such fur coloring.
We do not offer any flea baths or treatments as almost every flea shampoo on the market only kills majority of what is on the pet and does not prevent fleas from jumping back once they enter back into the environment.
The best course of action is to get a prescription flea medication from your veterinarian, as the prescription medications now kill all live fleas on the pet within hours and prevent reinfestations for 30 days.
We do not accept any pets with flea infestations. We require pets that are coming into our salon to be on a working flea-preventative from their veterinarian. Because we live in Southern California, most, if not all of the over-the-counter treatments are no longer effective. We recommend asking your veterinarian about which prescription flea preventative is best for your pet.
Grooming schedules are very individualized for each pet, but as a general rule we recommend every 4 to 6 weeks.
Pets with shorter haircuts all over (3/8″ or shorter) can go longer in between visits but we don’t recommend waiting more than 8 weeks. Shorter haircuts also make it easier to maintain your pet’s coat, bathe at home between visits, and are great for pets with very active lifestyles such as hiking.
Pets with medium to long length coats (1/2″ or longer) length are recommended to more frequently. The longer the coat, the more frequent professional grooming services will need to happen even if you are maintain at home between visits.
Pets with long hair and very active life styles such as frequent hikes or pack walks may need to come in as often as every 2 weeks.
We are happy to discuss haircut styles and come up with one based on your pets activity level and your budget.
Fur with matting and tangling will depend on the severity and amount of matting on the pet’s coat. We are a humanity before vanity salon; we will not do excessive de-matting on a coat that hasn’t been maintained at home or on a frequent grooming schedule that has been recommended by the groomer.
The length of hair that can be left is determined by how close the matting is to the skin. It is extremely dangerous to try and force a longer length of blade when matting is close to the skin.
We will not brush out matting and tangling on pets who are visibly and audibly (stress-barking, growling, screaming) uncomfortable and not desensitized to brushing. If your pet does not let you brush them at home, chances are they won’t let us either.
If your pet has excessive matting or tangling and you do not want it clipped close, and humane brushing is not an option, we will refuse service. We will not leave matting or tangling in a coat as it is not hygienic and can cause skin issues to arise.
We will not risk unnecessary discomfort, pain, or injury to a pet for the purpose of vanity and saving fur. In the end, it is hair and it grows back. Even as groomers, we have been in your shoes and our pets have also become tangles where clipping them down close was the kindest option for them.
We use professional-grade, high-quality, pet-specific shampoos, conditioners, and other grooming products. Some of our brands used include Envirogroom, Chris Christensen, Zymox, and Best Shot. We work hard to provide a quality service and each product we use has been carefully chosen giving us the best quality grooms with beautiful coats.
If your pet has specific skin conditions and needs to use a prescription shampoo, conditioner, or even ear cleaner, we recommend bringing it to the grooming appointment and we would be more than happy to use them during the service.
If you wish to provide your own non-prescription products we will warn that we can not guarantee the quality of the finished groom. Many consumer-level products have too many additives such as essential oils making the coat too oily or heavy. This can have a negative effect on the outcome of the finished haircut or service.
The length of a grooming appointment depends on the services requested, the size and breed of your pet, and their cooperation during the grooming process. Most appointments take between 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours with an average of about 1 1/2 hours. Our stylist work on 1 pet at a time with very minimal appointment overlap. We try our very best to keep to schedule but keep in mind that sometimes unforeseen circumstances (such as multiple potty accidents) can make a current or previous appointment to take a little longer.
We will give you an estimate at check-in based on the service and condition of the pet’s coat. For new pet’s coming to our salon, we recommend a little extra time to help them get used to the process in a new environment.
Our experienced groomers are trained to handle pets of different temperaments. We use gentle techniques and positive reinforcement to make the grooming process as stress-free as possible for your pet. If your pet is particularly nervous or extremely anxious, we may recommend a mild sedative prescribed by your veterinarian or refer you to a veterinarian with a groomer on staff.
If your pet becomes stressed or is showing signs of unusual behavior, we will stop the service and contact you immediately for pick up. We will recommend a call or visit to your veterinarian. Pushing a pet who is clearly stressed through a service can be detrimental or even fatal and we will not do it no matter what the circumstance is.
We do not accept aggressive pets under any circumstance. If a pet is to become unruly or fractious, putting itself or a stylist at risk, the grooming appointment will be stopped and the pet sent home. Safety is our top priority and we will not force a pet through something that can’t be done safely.
Yes, for the safety of all pets in our shop, we require proof of up-to-date vaccinations for dogs (Rabies & DHPP/DAPP) and cats (Rabies & FVRCP).
We do accept titer testing for Rabies or DHPP/DAPP that is current within 1 to 3 years from your veterinarian based on their recommendation. We require the titer results and any accompanying medical notes for this.
If your pet has a medical condition that no longer allows them to receive vaccinations (auto-immune conditions, chemotherapy, or extreme adverse reactions where they are now medically exempt) we can still accept them for grooming. We will just need verification (either contacting your veterinarian or a letter from them) that the pet is now medically exempt to receiving vaccinations.
Medical exemptions are the only exceptions we make to our vaccine policy.
We do not allow owners to stay with their pets during grooming as it can cause unnecessary stress and distraction for both the pet and the groomer. This includes peaking through the windows or standing around outside out of sight. The second your pet sees or smells you, it is game over for any chance of finishing the groom safely. If we are unable to finish the service safely for these reasons, we will stop the service and the full charge will apply for that service.
We will contact you when your pet is finished or almost finished via text or phone call.
If you are curious about your pet’s progress during the service we recommend giving us a call or sending us a text.
At this time we do not offer mobile grooming services. We do have a couple of recommendations that we can provide!
Yes, we have experience and equipment to groom pets of all breeds and sizes.
Grooming techniques are based on the type of coat the pet has and we have seen and worked on it all, including hand stripping for terrier or sporting breeds.
The only exception to this is corded coats. We would be happy to do a little research within our grooming community to find someone for you in the Los Angeles or South Bay area who does have experience.

Yes, we offer additional services such as teeth brushing, spa treatments, hand-stripping, and creative grooming.
We offer external anal gland expression, if needed, during our baths. We are unable to do the same type of internal expression your veterinarian office does, as that is considered a medical procedure.
Please bring your pet’s vaccination records if you have not sent them in before the appointment and any special grooming instructions (i.e. reference photos of what you like or do not like).
All dogs must be on a leash and under the control of an adult. All cats must be in a secured carrier.
We recommend making an appointment at least one week in advance, especially during peak grooming seasons such as summer and holidays.
We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, Apple & Google Pay.
